Abranel 1S

Nickel-based electrode for very difficult-to-weld steels

Product description

High-efficiency (170%), rutile-base-coated electrode depositing Cr-Mo alloyed nickel-based type 625 steel. High deposition speed.

For joining and plating high-strength and low-alloy steels. Also recommended for heterogeneous assemblies and undercoating prior to hardfacing, welding of type 625 steels.

For all assemblies subject to impact and pressure and requiring particular resistance to cracking.

Very good weldability, very little spatter, easily detachable slag, good bead appearance and high processing speed.

Electrode baking: 300°C/h. Preheat solid parts to 100-250°C (depending on carbon content). For special stainless steels and nickel-based alloys, no preheating is recommended, and a pass temperature of <150°C must be observed. Weld short, lightly swept beads at minimum intensity. = + ~ 70V

Why choose this basic electrode?

Vacuum-packed 5 or 6Kg electrode for welding highly stressed steel assemblies (carbon and carbon manganese) (tensile strength up to 510 MPa).

It features excellent mechanical properties, particularly at low temperatures.
