Abracrom 383

Highly corrosion-resistant stainless steel electrode

Product description

Rutile-base-coated electrode depositing a steel with an austenitic structure. Particularly recommended for welding special austenitic stainless steels (Sanicro 28, Uranus B28).

The Chromium, Molybdenum and Copper content gives the deposit excellent corrosion resistance in sulfuric and phosphoric media. Good resistance to pitting, crevice and/or stress corrosion, particularly in hydrochloric environments.

Service temperature up to 400°C. Mainly used for welding and hardfacing steels of identical grade. Excellent weldability, very smooth melting, good slag release, excellent bead appearance.

Main applications : equipment for the chemical and cellulose industries, storage and transport tanks.

Why choose this basic electrode?

Vacuum-packed 5 or 6Kg electrode for welding highly stressed steel assemblies (carbon and carbon manganese) (tensile strength up to 510 MPa).

It features excellent mechanical properties, particularly at low temperatures.
