CSS 309 S

High-efficiency dissimilar stainless steel electrode

Product description

High-efficiency (160%) synthetic electrode with rutilo-basic coating, depositing 24% Cr – 13% Ni refractory steel. Smooth melting without spattering. Good slag release, concave bead with fine striations.

Used when a high deposition rate is required. Welding of steels of the same composition. Particularly recommended as an undercoat before hardfacing and for heterogeneous assemblies (stainless steel with ordinary steel).

Why choose this basic electrode?

Vacuum-packed 5 or 6Kg electrode for welding highly stressed steel assemblies (carbon and carbon manganese) (tensile strength up to 510 MPa).

It features excellent mechanical properties, particularly at low temperatures.
