Abracrom 316B

Molybdenum stainless steel electrode

Product description

Basic-coating electrode depositing an austenitic molybdenum steel with an average 8% ferrite content and low carbon content. Smooth melting, good slag release, attractive bead appearance. Used for welding and hardfacing unstabilized austenitic Cr/Ni/Mo stainless steels and clad steels of the same composition resistant to chemical attack in the form of solutions or gases: acetic, benzoic, citric, cyanhydric, formic, nitric, stearic, sulfuric, phosphoric acids, etc.

Operating temperatures in corrosive liquids: from -120°C to +350°C, excellent corrosion resistance in seawater.

Applications:

Chemical, petrochemical and marine industries, refineries, tanks, pipes, heat exchangers…

Why choose this basic electrode?

Vacuum-packed 5 or 6Kg electrode for welding highly stressed steel assemblies (carbon and carbon manganese) (tensile strength up to 510 MPa).

It features excellent mechanical properties, particularly at low temperatures.
