Refractory stainless steel electrode
Product description
Rutile-base electrode depositing an austenitic heat-resistant steel designed to resist corrosion and oxidation up to 1200°C. Good resistance to hot cracking, very good welding behavior, easy slag removal and attractive bead appearance.
Main applications: Steam boiler construction in the oil and petrochemical industries, furnaces, thermal appliances.

Avoid prolonged stays at 600°-850°C (sigma phase formation). If necessary, bake for 2 hours at 250°C. Maximum temperature between passes: 150°C.

Why choose this basic electrode?
Vacuum-packed 5 or 6Kg electrode for welding highly stressed steel assemblies (carbon and carbon manganese) (tensile strength up to 510 MPa).
It features excellent mechanical properties, particularly at low temperatures.
