Why choose ABRATIG 10015 filler metal?

ABRATIG 10015 (ER100S-G) filler metal is the technical choice for applications where high mechanical strength and reliability in service are essential. Here’s why we choose it:

  1. For welding high-strength steels

ER100S-G is designed to weld :

low-alloy steels,

-high-strength steels (often used in the manufacture of welded structures, pressure vessels and heavy vehicles).

–> It produces welds with a tensile strength of around 690 MPa, well above that of standard steels.

  1. Excellent heat and creep resistance

Its alloyed composition (often with nickel, molybdenum or manganese) gives it :

-good thermal stability,

-ability to withstand high load cycles,

-good resistance to thermal fatigue or prolonged stress.

  1. Reliable heat treatment behaviour

ER100S-G is compatible with post-weld heat treatment (PWHT). It is therefore ideal for structures that need to be normalized or stress-relieved after welding.

  1. Good ductility and toughness at low temperatures

Despite its high strength, it retains good toughness, enabling it to be used for parts that have to withstand impact or cold conditions (down to -40°C in some cases, depending on the exact composition).
