Why choose ABRAFIL CrMo1?
1. Designed for CrMo steels
-
Ideal for welding steels containing around 1% chromium and 0.5% molybdenum.
-
Perfect compatibility with steels such as 13CrMo4-5, used in the manufacture of boilers, reactors, heat exchangers, etc.
2. Excellent heat resistance
-
ABRAFIL CrMo1 resists high temperatures and thermal oxidation.
-
It is often used for applications up to 550-600°C, or even higher with appropriate heat treatment.
3. Good creep behaviour
-
It maintains its mechanical properties over time, even under high-temperature loading, which is essential for pressurized installations.
4. Good weldability
-
Although it sometimes requires preheating (200-300°C) and heat treatment after welding, it remains relatively easy to MIG weld.
-
Provides good mechanical strength and resilience after treatment.
