2. High mechanical strength

Superduplex combines an austenitic-ferritic structure: this gives it much greater mechanical strength than conventional austenitic stainless steels (such as 316L).

This makes it possible to reduce the thickness of material used for the same strength, thus cutting weight and material costs.

Good performance over a wide temperature range.

Resists thermal and mechanical fatigue.
4. Good weldability (with precautions)

ABRAFIL 25.9.4L is designed to preserve the ferrite/austenite phase balance.

It limits the formation of undesirable intermetallic phases if thermal control is well managed (recommendation of fine passes, controlled cooling, etc.).
