Why choose ABRAFIL CuSi3?
-
Excellent solderability of copper and copper alloys:
ABRAFIL CuSi3 is ideal for soldering deoxygenated copper, silicon copper, or heterogeneous assemblies between copper and steel or copper and stainless steel. It offers smooth melting, a stable arc and a very clean bead. -
Good electrical and thermal conductivity of the welded joint:
Even after welding, the deposited metal retains good conductivity, making it an excellent choice for electrical parts, contactors, connectors or heat exchangers. -
Very good MIG brazing (arc brazing) performance:
ABRAFIL CuSi3 is often used for MIG brazing on galvanized steel, particularly in the automotive and structural steel industries, as it enables welding without burning the zinc layer, while ensuring good mechanical strength. -
Good corrosion resistance:
The alloy is naturally resistant to oxidation, making CuSi3 suitable for outdoor or mildly aggressive applications, even in humid atmospheres. -
Excellent cord appearance (desired aesthetic effect):
Highly appreciated for its aesthetic golden copper-colored welds, this wire is also used in metal furniture, decoration, high-end locksmithing and visible applications.
