Why choose ABRAFIL AlMg5?
-
Excellent corrosion resistance, especially in marine environments:
Thanks to its magnesium content, ABRAFIL AlMg5 offers excellent resistance to salt water and damp atmospheres, making it the alloy of choice for marine and outdoor applications. -
Very good compatibility with AlMg alloys (5083, 5754, 5454 series, etc.):
Allows robust, long-lasting welds on high-strength aluminium, while maintaining ductility and resistance to cracking. -
High mechanical strength:
Joints welded with AlMg5 have good yield strength and tensile strength, useful for structural parts subject to stress (hulls, ramps, light chassis, etc.). -
Good MIG welding properties:
It offers a stable arc, low spatter, good wetting, and a very clean bead appearance, facilitating both manual and automated applications.
