HFT 4S
Hardfacing electrode for metallic wear
Product description
Rutile electrode depositing martensitic steel with very fine carbides of tungsten, chromium and vanadium. The main property of the deposit is its resistance to metallic abrasion up to 550°C. The deposit is machinable after annealing at 750-800°C/4 hours, followed by slow cooling. Can be hardened after machining to 50HRC (1100°C/oil or compressed air). Smooth, splash-free melting, self-releasing slag. Can be used for volume reconstitution, a finishing pass in HB 600 HT often being recommended.
Reloading of hot and cold stamping, cutting and forming tools (dies, punches, hot cutting shears, hot press tools, etc.).

Why choose this basic electrode?
Vacuum-packed 5 or 6Kg electrode for welding highly stressed steel assemblies (carbon and carbon manganese) (tensile strength up to 510 MPa).
It features excellent mechanical properties, particularly at low temperatures.
