Exceptional impact resistance

Product description

High-efficiency (140%) synthetic basic electrode for hardfacing all parts generally subject to very high impact. Very interesting as an undercoat before hardfacing, when high thicknesses need to be deposited. Allows you to restore the desired volume to the part, then finish the hardfacing with one or two passes of HBA or HBA-type hardfacing. HB63. The fully austenitic deposit offers exceptional resistance to impact and wear, due to carbide precipitation brought about by impact and work-hardening. The resulting hardness of the deposit rises from 200-250 Brinell (in the as-welded state) to 400-500 Brinell (after work-hardening). The high chromium content greatly enhances resistance to abrasion and cavitation.

Main applications:

Repair of worn parts or protection of new parts. Railway industry (rails, frogs, switches), quarries and mines (crusher jaws, dredger buckets, beaters, waste treatment, wood and stone crushers, armor plating, etc.).

Why choose this basic electrode?

Vacuum-packed 5 or 6Kg electrode for welding highly stressed steel assemblies (carbon and carbon manganese) (tensile strength up to 510 MPa).

It features excellent mechanical properties, particularly at low temperatures.
