Electrode steaming: 250-300°C/1h. Joints to be welded must be clean and free from grease, cracks, etc. Weld with as little heat as possible to eliminate hot cracking. For homogeneous assemblies (Nickel base), preheating of the base metal is not recommended. If used on iron bases (high-carbon steels), preheat the base metal (200-500°C, depending on the grade) to limit ZAT cracking.
