Product description

Basic-coating electrode, depositing a ‘Monel’* type alloy, for joining and hardfacing copper-nickel alloys and copper-nickel clad steels. Also recommended for heterogeneous assemblies such as steel/copper alloy or steel/copper/cupro-Ni. Excellent resistance to stress corrosion.

 

Main applications: construction of equipment for the chemical and petrochemical industries, shipbuilding and seawater desalination plants.

Electrode drying: 250°C/2h. Use only dry electrodes. Hold electrode at 80° to workpiece. Weld with a short arc in narrow beads and on clean joints, free from grease, oil or various oxides.
