Product description

Graphite-base coated electrode depositing a ferro-nickel alloy (60% Ni – 40% Fe) for the assembly and repair of spheroidal graphite cast irons or highly stressed irons.

Homogeneous deposit, highly resistant to cracking, particularly recommended for heterogeneous cast iron/steel assemblies or flanged cast iron assemblies. Good filler metal adhesion and spreading, as well as good resistance to hot cracking.

Applications:

Casting defects, repairs to engine blocks, machine tool frames, gearboxes, reduction gears, pump bodies, castings, valve bodies…

Heat input between passes as low as possible (max. 70°C) to minimize the risk of base metal cracking. Apply short beads of approx. 3 cm and hammer immediately before starting a new bead. Weld on clean, grease-free surfaces (grind joint beforehand).

Why choose this basic electrode?

Vacuum-packed 5 or 6Kg electrode for welding highly stressed steel assemblies (carbon and carbon manganese) (tensile strength up to 510 MPa).

It features excellent mechanical properties, particularly at low temperatures.
