Abracrom 316LS

Stainless steel electrode

Product description

Very low-carbon rutilo-basic electrode depositing an austenitic molybdenum steel with an average ferrite content of 8%. Very low moisture pick-up, gentle melting without spattering, good slag release, excellent bead appearance and easy re-priming.

Used for welding and hardfacing unstabilized austenitic Cr/Ni/Mo stainless steels and clad steels of the same composition.

Applied for operating temperatures in corrosive liquid environments: from -120°C to +400°C in the chemical, petrochemical and maritime industries, refineries, tanks, pipes, heat exchangers, food industries…

Why choose this basic electrode?

Vacuum-packed 5 or 6Kg electrode for welding highly stressed steel assemblies (carbon and carbon manganese) (tensile strength up to 510 MPa).

It features excellent mechanical properties, particularly at low temperatures.
