Abracrom 316L

Molybdenum stainless steel electrode

Product description

Rutile-base electrode depositing an austenitic molybdenum steel with an average 8% ferrite content and very low
carbon content. Coating with very low moisture pick-up, gentle melting without spattering, good slag detachment, excellent
bead appearance and easy re-priming.
Used for welding and hardfacing unstabilized austenitic Cr/Ni/Mo stainless steels and clad steels of the same
composition, resistant to chemical attack in solution or gas (up to 550°C).
Service temperature in corrosive liquid: from -120°C to +400°C. Excellent resistance to corrosion in seawater.
Applications: Chemical, petrochemical and marine industries, refineries, tanks, pipes, heat exchangers,
food industries, etc.

Why choose this basic electrode?

Vacuum-packed 5 or 6Kg electrode for welding highly stressed steel assemblies (carbon and carbon manganese) (tensile strength up to 510 MPa).

It features excellent mechanical properties, particularly at low temperatures.
