Stainless steel repair electrode

Product description

Rutile-base electrode depositing a very low-carbon austenitic steel for joining Cr 23 – Ni 12 – Mo 2 stainless steels, as well as for welding dissimilar grades of steel, such as stainless steel to alloy or non-alloy steel.

Used as an undercoat prior to hardfacing on type 316 L steels and as an intermediate layer when welding clad type 316 L steels.

Universal maintenance repair electrode with ~20% high ferrite content.

Excellent resistance to cracking. High corrosion resistance. Smooth melting, good bead appearance, self-removing slag.

Why choose this basic electrode?

Vacuum-packed 5 or 6Kg electrode for welding highly stressed steel assemblies (carbon and carbon manganese) (tensile strength up to 510 MPa).

It features excellent mechanical properties, particularly at low temperatures.
