Why choose ABRATIG CuNi30 filler metal?
Choosing ABRATIG CuNi30 (also known as CuNi 70/30) means you want to weld a copper-nickel alloy that is highly resistant to marine corrosion and harsh environments, with very specific metallurgical properties. It’s a high-end wire for demanding technical applications.
- Nickel-rich composition (~30%)
Nickel greatly improves :
-Mechanical resistance
-Stress corrosion resistance
-Thermal stability
- Excellent resistance to marine environments
Well superior to CuNi10 (90/10) for :
High-speed seawater
Highly saline or impure environments
Submerged applications or applications in prolonged contact with water
Resists crevice corrosion, pitting and biofouling
- Good TIG weldability
Clean, stable fusion with little spatter
Compatible with:CuNi30, CuNi10 and certain copper alloys
Sometimes dissimilar welding (subject to thermal and chemical compatibility)
Enables tight, strong, highly durable welds over the long term
- Balanced physical properties
Good thermal conductivity, good electrical conductivity
Resists thermal expansion, ideal for complex systems
Good resistance to temperature variations and thermal cycling
