Why choose ABRATIG 276 filler metal?

ERNiCrMo-4 TIG wire, better known as ABRATIG 276, is a high-end nickel-based filler metal designed for extreme environments. Here’s why we use it:

  1. Outstanding chemical resistance

TIG 276 is the filler metal equivalent for Hastelloy C-276 alloy.

It offers extreme resistance to corrosion, including :

  • Strong acids (hydrochloric, sulfuric, phosphoric, nitric…)
  • Oxidizing and reducing media
  • Environments containing chlorine, salts, aggressive organic compounds, etc.
  1. High-temperature resistance
  • Highly temperature-stable, even above 1000°C.
  • Resists oxidation, carburization and sulfurization.
  • Ideal for severe chemical or thermal applications.
  1. Welding versatility

Suitable for welding :

  • Parts in Hastelloy C, C-22, C-276, etc.
  • High-alloy inconel or stainless steels
  • Complex cases of dissimilar welding (e.g. stainless steel ↔ nickel, or stainless steel ↔ carbon steel)
  • Good arc behavior, regular melting, little cracking.
