Why choose ABRATIG AlMg5 filler metal?
ABRATIG AlMg5 is a magnesium-rich filler metal (≈5%), ideal for welding 5000 series aluminum alloys (e.g. 5083, 5754).
It offers excellent compatibility with these materials, guaranteeing strong, durable welds.
Its high resistance to corrosion, particularly in marine environments, makes it the preferred choice for shipbuilding and structures exposed to humidity.
It also provides good mechanical properties (tensile strength, fatigue).
Our ABRATIG AlMg5 ensures good melt flow, making welding easier.
It is also suitable for parts subject to loads or vibrations.
Finally, it’s a reliable solution for demanding aluminum work without heat treatment.
