Why choose ABRATIG AlMg4.5Mn filler metal?
1.good corrosion resistance
Thanks to the presence of magnesium, it is an excellent choice for marine, chemical or outdoor environments.
2. High mechanical strength
The alloy has good mechanical properties, far superior to alloys such as AlSi5 (ER4045), which are more focused on castability.
3. Good metallurgical compatibility
Suitable for welding 5xxx series alloys (Al-Mg), as well as some 6xxx series alloys (Al-Mg-Si), while limiting the risk of hot cracking.
4. Easy TIG and MIG welding
The ER5356 offers good flow, correct penetration and generates an aesthetically clean bead, which is appreciated for visible welds.
5. No need for post-weld heat treatment
Unlike other alloys, it does not require heat treatment to achieve good mechanical performance.
