Why choose ABRAFIL CrMo2?
-
Specially designed for high-temperature steels:
ABRAFIL CrMo2 is used to weld steels such as 13CrMo4-5 or 10CrMo9-10, which are designed to work under pressure and at high temperatures (up to 600°C), such as in boilers, heat exchangers or steam pipes. -
Excellent resistance to creep and thermal stress:
Thanks to its composition, the deposited metal offers very good resistance to creep, i.e. slow deformation under stress, which is crucial in installations with long-term exposure to heat and pressure. -
Good metallurgical stability after heat treatment:
It stands up well to post-weld treatments (PWHT), often mandatory in these applications, to relieve stresses and stabilize the welded joint structure. -
Low diffusible hydrogen content:
Suitable for crack-sensitive steels, ABRAFIL CrMo2 is often used with shielding gases and practices to ensure crack-free hot or cold welding.
