Product description
MIG wire for welding austenitic Cr Ni Mo stainless steels. Improved wetting due to high silicon content. Very low carbon content ensures good resistance to intergranular corrosion.
Assembly of stainless steels with 16 – 21% Cr, 10 – 15% Ni and 0 – 3% Mo, stabilized or not. Operating temperature: max. 400°C.

Why choose ABRAFIL 316LSi?
-
Excellent corrosion resistance
Suitable for humid, chlorinated or slightly acidic environments, 316LSi is ideal for parts exposed to seawater, cleaning agents or constant humidity. -
Presence of silicon (Si)
“Si” improves the fluidity of the melt, making welding easier, especially in the flat position. The result is more even and aesthetic beads, with less spatter. -
Very good wetting
The molten metal spreads well, reducing the risk of lack of fusion on edges or poorly penetrating welds. -
Reduced weld defects
Less risk of blowing or lack of fusion thanks to the arc’s stability and the bath’s fluid behavior. -
For use on 316 / 316L stainless steels and compatible
Compatible with austenitic molybdenum stainless steels, particularly for equipment in contact with corrosive agents or at moderate temperatures.
