Suitable for welding pure copper
ABRAFIL Cu is designed for welding unalloyed copper (type C11000 / Cu-ETP). It provides good fusion and excellent metallic continuity. -
Excellent thermal and electrical conductivity
The deposited metal retains very good conductivity, which is essential in electrical applications (busbars, collectors, transformers). -
Low risk of cracking
Pure copper is prone to heat cracking if the wire is mismatched. ABRAFIL Cu is formulated to limit this risk thanks to its purity and good compatibility with the base metal. -
Good corrosion resistance
Copper and ABRAFIL Cu offer good resistance to oxidation and many chemical agents. -
Can be used for hardfacing or repair
It can be used to restore worn or corroded copper parts, while maintaining good adhesion.
