Why choose ABRAFIL 276?

1. Outstanding corrosion resistance

  • Excellent resistance to almost all corrosive agents: strong acids (hydrochloric, sulfuric, phosphoric, acetic), oxidizing and reducing media.

  • Very good chloride resistance, even at high temperatures → resists stress corrosion cracking (SCC) and crevice/pitting corrosion.

2. High chemical versatility

  • ABRAFIL 276 is highly stable even in the face of acid mixtures, variable redox conditions, or highly acidic + chlorinated media – making it virtually unrivalled in extreme chemical environments.

  • Ideal for chemical and pharmaceutical plants, gas treatment plants, etc.

3. Excellent weldability

  • Good fluidity, stable arc in MIG, very little spatter, good bath wetting.

  • Suitable for welding C276 parts, but also other Ni-Cr-Mo alloys and even dissimilar assemblies (e.g. Inconel ↔ carbon steel or stainless steel).

4. Correct thermal resistance

  • Withstands temperatures up to approx. 1040°C, depending on operating conditions.

  • Can be used in both hot and corrosive environments.
