Why choose ABRAFIL AlMg4,5Mn?

1. Versatility on aluminum-magnesium alloys

  • Ideal for welding 5000 series alloys (Al-Mg) such as 5083, 5754, 5454…

  • Also compatible with certain 6000 series (Al-Mg-Si), depending on requirements.

2. Excellent corrosion resistance

  • Its high magnesium content (~4.5%) and the addition of manganese improve resistance to marine and wet environments – perfect for the marine industry, vehicles and outdoor equipment.

3. Good mechanical strength

  • Better than that of softer wires such as ABRAFIL AlSi5 (ER4045), yet still weldable.

  • Suitable for structural and mechanically stressed parts.

4. Very good cord appearance

  • Produces aesthetic welds with good bath wettability.

5. Low risk of hot cracking

  • Compared with other alloys, it offers better resistance to cracking, particularly on thick or complex parts.
