FCW L-S

Tubular wire for submerged arc hardfacing

Product description

– Flux-cored wire for submerged arc hardfacing

– Deposits a martensitic-type alloy offering good resistance to frictional and impact wear

– Welded with WAF 325 agglomerated flux, the resulting deposit is clean and free of slag adhesions

Product application instructions

APPLICATIONS

FCW L S is used for hardfacing applications requiring good resistance to metal-on-metal wear, as well as low-stress abrasion with or without significant impact

Examples : Bucket teeth and blades on mechanical shovels, hammers and jaws on crushers, drill bits, cutting tools, shredding tools, conveyor chains, extrusion screws…

Welding positions: Flat.

Why choose this cored wire?

  • Excellent resistance to fine and moderate abrasion
➤ Ideal for slippery or gently eroded areas (e.g. dust, fine grains).

  • Very smooth, even bead appearance
➤ Reduced friction, ideal for contact surfaces or material flow.

  • High deposit hardness
➤ Approx. 58-62 HRC, offering good longevity in abrasive environments.

  • Fine-structured weld metal
➤ Low risk of cracking, homogeneous deposit, suitable for precise applications.

  • Can be used on various mechanical parts
➤ Suitable for hardfacing tools, fine wear parts or specific industrial components.
