FCW B-O

Cored wire for arc-cladding without gas shielding

Product description

– Cored wire for arc-cladding without gas shielding

– Suitable for applications subject to both metal-on-metal wear and high compressive stress.

Product application instructions

APPLICATIONS

FCW B-O is used for underlayment prior to hardfacing and for reconstituting profiles.

Examples Gear teeth, rollers, transmission shafts, rolling mill cylinders, chain conveyors…

  • Extrusion screw

  • Wear plates

  • Chutes, hoppers

  • Scraper blades

  • Tools for preparing or transporting abrasive materials

Welding positions: FCW B-O can be welded both flat and in position. Adapt transfer mode and welding parameters as for solid wire.

Why choose this cored wire?

  • Very good abrasion resistance + moderate impact
➤ Perfect for environments where wear is caused by hard particles but with regular (not extreme) mechanical stress.

  • High deposit hardness
➤ Typical hardness of 55 to 60 HRC, offering good longevity even in severe abrasive environments.

  • Structure with chromium carbides
➤ The deposit is hard, with a martensitic matrix enriched with carbides, ideal for wear parts.

  • Good weldability
➤ Stable arc, low spatter, even appearance, suitable for workshop or on-site applications.

  • Ideal for single or multi-pass fine
➤ Can be used to reinforce surfaces exposed to wear, while maintaining a good surface finish.
