Why choose this cored wire?
FCW CNV-O cored wire is an ideal solution when it comes to reinforcing parts that are highly exposed to abrasion, particularly in high-temperature environments. It is often used for hardfacing, i.e. to add a protective layer to metal surfaces to extend their service life.
What makes it particularly interesting is its ability to withstand extreme wear and tear, even in conditions where temperatures can climb very high – up to around 700°C. This makes it ideally suited to sectors such as the steel industry, cement works and quarries, where equipment is put to the test.
The deposit it forms is extremely hard, thanks to a high concentration of carbides, making it highly effective in countering abrasion. And because it’s a self-protecting wire, it doesn’t require any additional gas, which greatly simplifies processing, even on site.
It is particularly suitable for reloading parts such as crushers, hoppers, augers and extraction fans.
In short, whenever a metal part suffers from rapid wear, FCW CNV-O is a serious option for protecting it.
