Product application instructions
APPLICATIONS
FCW VMOLC-G is specially designed for repairing forging dies. Large surfaces are reloaded with FCW VMOLC to prevent cracking. FCW WMOLC-G is used to reconstitute impression profiles that have been subjected to heavy pressure and abrasion.
Each choice is a compromise between fatigue strength, abrasion resistance, hardness and risk of cracking.
Operating precautions must be observed: removal of damaged areas, preheating, welding with appropriate thermal regime, hammering of each layer, post-weld heat treatment.
Welding positions: flat, semi-mounted, semi-descended

Why choose this cored wire?
FCW VMOLC-G cored wire is used for the hardfacing of parts subject to wear due to abrasion, corrosion and heat.
It contains alloying elements such as vanadium, molybdenum and chromium, offering excellent high-temperature resistance.
The deposit has a high hardness (~58-62 HRC) while remaining tough and stable under thermal stress.
Ideal for the cement, steel or recycling industries, on parts such as screws, blades or wear plates.
It is compatible with low-alloy steels and can be used with or without gas, depending on the version.
It’s an excellent choice for extending the life of equipment exposed to extreme conditions.
