Tubular electrode for extreme abrasion
Product description
Tubular electrode filled with tungsten carbide and chromium powders. Extremely abrasion-resistant deposit without impact (or moderate impact). Composed essentially of tungsten carbides (exceptional abrasion resistance). Corrosion-resistant iron-base matrix, excellent coefficient of friction, very pleasant melting, excellent metal spread, no slag, smooth bead, non-machinable. Possibility of increasing output by introducing a second electrode into the arc (double the recommended intensity).
Hardfacing of all types of austenitic and non-austenitic steels, cast irons, tool steels and high-alloy steels (in this case, undercoat with a 29/9 or 18/8 Mn electrode). Use in one or two coats maximum.
Mainly intended for parts that have to withstand severe mineral abrasion and temperatures up to 300°C: public works equipment, agriculture, quarries, mines (mixers, paddles, augers, food industry, propellers, etc.), etc.

Why choose this basic electrode?
Vacuum-packed 5 or 6Kg electrode for welding highly stressed steel assemblies (carbon and carbon manganese) (tensile strength up to 510 MPa).
It features excellent mechanical properties, particularly at low temperatures.
