Product description

Chamfering and gouging electrode. Applications on all metals, including stainless steels, cast irons and copper alloys – powerful blast results in high metal removal speeds, even at low voltage and low current – clean cut with lightly carburized surface (grind 0.1 mm if carburization is troublesome).

Removal of bolts, rivets, weld seams, chamfering of casting defects or cracks prior to welding repair, chamfering of hardfacing deposits or hardened steels

Product application instructions

When gouging, place the electrode in contact with the workpiece at an angle of around 20° and use a back-and-forth motion to make the molten metal flow. Then, if possible, tilt the workpiece to encourage the flow of molten metal.

Mechanical characteristics

Why choose this basic electrode?

Vacuum-packed 5 or 6Kg electrode for welding highly stressed steel assemblies (carbon and carbon manganese) (tensile strength up to 510 MPa).

It features excellent mechanical properties, particularly at low temperatures.
