Abracrom 4462

Stainless steel duplex electrode

Product description

Rutile-base coated electrode depositing a steel with an austenitic-ferritic (duplex) structure.

The deposit is characterized by very good resistance to pitting, crevice and/or stress corrosion (particularly in the presence of chlorides), combined with very good mechanical tensile strength. Service temperature can reach 250°C. Mainly used for welding and hardfacing steels of identical grade. Excellent weldability, very smooth melting, self-detachable slag, excellent bead appearance.

Main applications: tanks, centrifuges, pumps, piping

Why choose this basic electrode?

Vacuum-packed 5 or 6Kg electrode for welding highly stressed steel assemblies (carbon and carbon manganese) (tensile strength up to 510 MPa).

It features excellent mechanical properties, particularly at low temperatures.
