Acor Ni S

High-performance pure nickel electrode

Product description

Basic electrode depositing pure Nickel with 1 to 2% Titanium is designed for joining Nickel alloys and pure Nickel to each other or to low-alloy steels, stainless steels, etc. It is also widely used for underlayment and final coatings to resist corrosion and cracking.

Particularly resistant deposit in the presence of NaOH, up to approx. 400°C. Pleasant, splash-free melting, easy-to-remove slag.

Applications: Chemical and energy industries, e.g. soda chemicals, synthetic fibers, etc. (Piping, evaporators, pumps, heat exchangers, boilers, etc.).

Electrodes must be baked: 250-300°C/1h. Joints to be welded must be clean and grease-free. To improve deposit degassing, adopt a low melting speed, avoid sweeping passes and keep the arc short.

Why choose this basic electrode?

Vacuum-packed 5 or 6Kg electrode for welding highly stressed steel assemblies (carbon and carbon manganese) (tensile strength up to 510 MPa).

It features excellent mechanical properties, particularly at low temperatures.
