FCW K600-G
Tubular copper-coated cored wire with high fill factor for semi-automatic gas-shielded hardfacing
Product description
Tubular copper-coated cored wire with high fill factor for semi-automatic gas-shielded hardfacing
– Deposition rates 20% higher on average than corresponding solid wires
– The deposited metal consists of a martensitic matrix in which carbides of high hardness are distributed. This structure offers an optimum compromise between resistance to abrasion, frictional wear and impact.
– No moisture regain, perfect pay-off quality, unrivalled weldability in this alloy class
– Suitable for flat, ledge and vertical-riser reloading
– Abrasion resistance maintained up to 450°C
Product application instructions
APPLICATIONS
FCW K600 is used for hardfacing applications requiring good resistance to metal-on-metal wear and low-stress abrasion, with or without significant impact.
Examples
Excavator bucket teeth and blades, crusher hammers and jaws, drill bits, cutting tools, shredding tools, conveyor chains…
Welding positions: FCW K600 can be welded both flat and in position. Adapt transfer mode and welding parameters as for solid wire.

Why choose this cored wire?
Excellent impact and pressure resistance
➤ Perfect for applications where parts are subjected to intense impact or deformation.
Work hardening
➤ The deposited metal gradually hardens under the effect of impact and friction (up to ~55 HRC), extending service life.
High toughness
➤ Highly resistant to cracking, even on massive or highly stressed parts.
Multi-layer reloading possible
➤ Allows several passes to be accumulated without risk of cracking, ideal for major restorations.
Good welding behavior
➤ Stable deposit, even arc, easy to process.
