Why choose this fi fourré?

  • Optimized chemical composition
This wire deposits a filler metal containing approximately 20% chromium, 25% nickel, 4.5% molybdenum, 1.5% copper and a low carbon content. This composition offers excellent corrosion resistance, particularly in aggressive environments.

  • Application versatility
Suitable for welding stainless steels such as 904L (N08904, 1.4539), it is also suitable for dissimilar welds, offering an alternative to less rich alloys such as 317LN (1.4439).

  • Excellent mechanical properties
The deposited metal has a typical tensile strength of 640 MPa, yield strength of 430 MPa, elongation of 32%, and impact strength of 35 J at -196°C, guaranteeing robust, long-lasting welds.

  • Ease of welding
Thanks to its rutile nature, this wire offers excellent workability in all welding positions, with a beautiful bead appearance, good penetration and high productivity. It is designed for use with economical gas mixtures such as Ar + 15-25% CO₂.

  • Reliability and weld quality
FCW V 904L ensures excellent radiographic weld quality, with good resistance to hot cracking, guaranteeing reliable assemblies even under demanding conditions.
