Product description
This 617 filler metal (often referred to as ERNiCrCoMo-1 according to AWS) is designed to meet extreme temperature and corrosion requirements, particularly in high-temperature and severe oxidation environments.
This filler metal is reserved for applications where temperature, service life and chemical resistance are key criteria. It is clearly a top-of-the-range nickel-based alloy.

Why choose ABRAFIL/ABRATIG 617?
-
Outstanding high-temperature resistance
ABARFIL 617 is designed for applications up to 1100°C. It retains its mechanical and structural strength in harsh thermal environments (power plants, turbines, etc.). -
Excellent resistance to oxidation and corrosion
A nickel-based alloy with chromium, cobalt and molybdenum, it is highly resistant to gas-phase oxidation, sulfate corrosion and carburizing or nitriding environments. -
Very good microstructural stability
Does not become brittle easily over time, despite thermal cycles or extreme conditions. -
Compatibility with Inconel 617-type alloys
It is used for welding or repairing parts made of Inconel 617, but also sometimes for joining other nickel alloys or heat-resistant steels. -
Good creep behaviour
Excellent resistance to slow deformation under stress at high temperatures, which is essential for components under pressure or subjected to long periods of thermal exposure.
