Abracrom 316D

Type 316L stainless steel electrode – Vertical descending

Product description

Rutile-base electrode depositing a low-carbon austenitic molybdenum steel. This electrode has been specially designed for welding in a vertical downward position.

Suitable for welding and hardfacing non-stabilized austenitic Cr/Ni/Mo stainless steels and clad steels of the same composition, resistant to chemical attack: acetic, benzoic, citric, hydrogen cyanide, formic, nitric, stearic, sulfuric, phosphoric acids…

Service temperature in corrosive liquids: -120°C to +350°C. Excellent corrosion resistance in seawater.

Applications: Chemical, petrochemical and marine industries, refineries, tanks, pipes, heat exchangers….

Why choose this basic electrode?

Vacuum-packed 5 or 6Kg electrode for welding highly stressed steel assemblies (carbon and carbon manganese) (tensile strength up to 510 MPa).

It features excellent mechanical properties, particularly at low temperatures.
