Why choose ABRATIG Titanium2 filler metal?
Excellent corrosion resistance
Grade 2 titanium is highly resistant to corrosion, especially in marine, chemical and saline environments. It naturally forms a highly stable protective oxide layer.
- Good mechanical strength
Without reaching the strength of grade 5 titanium, grade 2 offers a good compromise between strength and ductility, making it easy to weld while maintaining good mechanical strength.
- Very good weldability
Grade 2 titanium is unalloyed and has a relatively high purity, making it easy to TIG weld, with little risk of cracks or metallurgical defects.
- Compatibility with pure titanium parts
It is perfectly suited to assembling or repairing unalloyed titanium parts (grades 1 to 4), making it a safe and consistent choice.
