Product application instructions
APPLICATIONS
FCW Sub 317L is suitable for joining stabilized and non-stabilized stainless steels with an alloying element content of 16-21% Cr, 6-13% Ni and up to 3% Mo, where increased corrosion resistance is required compared to grade 316L.
Welding positions
EN ISO 6947:PA, PB.
ASME IX:1F, 1G, 2F.
FCW Sub 317L is primarily used in the flat and horizontal-vertical positions. However, welds in other positions are also possible using the short-circuiting or pulsed arc modes of transfer.
