In the wood and paper sector, welding consumables play a key role in plant maintenance and reliability. Equipment is often exposed to extreme conditions: humidity, heat, abrasion and chemicals.

Welding is used to repair critical parts such as conveyors, debarking drums, grinders or augers. Adapted electrodes and wires enable rapid restoration of plant functionality, while guaranteeing good resistance over time.

Hardfacing is an effective solution for reinforcing areas subject to wear, particularly on surfaces in contact with chips, sawdust or abrasive materials. It significantly extends component service life.

Welding is also used in the manufacture or modification of metal structures: frames, ducts, pipes or steel structures. Finally, the quality of welds is decisive in areas subject to significant thermal cycles, such as drying units, where reliability and safety are essential.

    Rotary kiln - FCW 182

Rotary kilns are used in many industrial processes (drying, calcining, sintering, combustion) in the cement, steel and minerals sectors. Consisting of a carbon steel shell lined with refractory materials, they operate at very high temperatures. The flame can reach 2000°C, the clinker 1450°C, while the casing remains below 350°C. These extreme conditions entail the risk of deformation, thermal cracking and localized wear on load-bearing components.

    Triturators - FCW HC-O

In the paper industry, pulpers are subject to intense wear on internal parts such as rotors, screens and plates, which are exposed to abrasive waste. Since replacement is costly, effective wear protection is essential.
